Dine Out for United Way – 2017 Schedule

Dine Out for United Way – 2017

United Way of St. Francois County is pleased to announce this year’s schedule for “Dine Out for United Way”, an annual fundraiser we do every year to help pay for the administrative costs of our organization so every donation can go to serving St. Francois County and the many programs we support here in the community.

Each participating restaurant, cafe, and dining establishment will give at least 10% of their sales to the United Way of St. Francois County on the day they’re featured, and don’t worry, the diners will pay nothing extra. The Dine Out day will be from opening to closing and covers take-out as well as dine-in orders.

So pull up a seat, and visit these fine dining establishments on the following dates to help out United Way!

If you wish to sign up for the 2017 Bell Ringing Campaign, you can call our office 573-760-8929, or email us at

United Way Distributes $175,000 in Grants for 2016

What happens when you give to United Way of St. Francois County?

Your donation stays in St. Francois County- 100% of every individual’s financial gift to United Way of St. Francois County goes to the local agencies funded by United Way.

You improve the quality of life for all of us in St. Francois County. When we reach out to one another, we’re building community. We’re helping to make St. Francois County a better place to live.

In 1988, at the request of the Salvation Army, volunteers in Farmington began ringing bells during the holidays to benefit that organization and Farmington food pantries. Eventually, the group formed the Farmington United Fund and began to raise money to benefit Farmington agencies all year long. In 1999, they changed their focus to the entire county and changed the name of the organization to the United Way of St. Francois County.

Our local United Way is a local independent nonprofit 501© organization. We are one on the over 1500 United Way organizations across the country. Each United Way is an autonomous organization governed by its own board of directors. Our United Way pays a small yearly fee to United Way Worldwide for use of its logo and to receive some organizational guidance.

For 2016, the United Way of St. Francois County has pledged to fund local agencies with $175,000 in grants. Local agencies rely on help to give hope and assistance to those in need. We thank you for any donation you give to the United Way of St. Francois County.
